Rio Ferdinand Injury Update
Post from Man United Devils
Friday, November 20, 2009, 12:44 pm Read more: Manchester United, Premiership
There were reports yesterday suggesting that Man United defender Rio Ferdinand will be out for a few months. During Sir Alex Ferguson’s pre-match press conference he doesn’t seem to be that worried about it.
The manager has said that it is more likely to be a matter of weeks, not months.
“It is back-related,” Ferguson said. “We are not putting a timescale on it but it is not a situation where we are saying it will be months. It might be a couple of weeks or it might be a few weeks, but that is it.”
Man United fans will be happy to hear that news. Hopefully Ferdinand can come back 100% fit and start getting back to his best form.

Ferdinand Out Until 2010
Post from Man United Devils
Thursday, November 19, 2009, 12:18 pm Read more: Manchester United, Premiership
Man United defender Rio Ferdinand has been suffering from an unknown injury for most of this season and some of last season, he has now been ruled out of action until 2010. Ferdinand has been told that he must get at least six weeks of rest and treatment before he can return.
The Sun believes that Ferdinand may need to have his realigned, this will take the pressure off his back.
The good news is that Nemanja Vidic should play for United against Everton this Saturday. Our third choice centre back Jonny Evans is struggling with a calf strain so his is a doubt for Saturday’s game, which probably means that Wes Brown will line-up with Vidic.

Man United defender Rio Ferdinand hasn’t had the best start to the season. He has either been injured or he hasn’t been in his best form.
Other rumours have been that one of Ferdinand’s legs is shorter than the other, which is why he has been suffering from back problems. Ferdinand’s agent has rubbished those reports today.
“I can assure you there’s no truth in it whatsoever,” Ferdinand’s agent Pini Zahavi is quoted in The Mirror as saying.
“I spoke to Rio about it – he didn’t know whether to laugh or cry.
“The stories of him having one leg shorter than the other have been doing the rounds for weeks.”
“Rio is having treatment and has just started training,” he added.
“If his recovery continues to go well he could be back playing inside three weeks.”
