Spursbook: Aaron Lennon Likes This

Social networking sites are a big part of people’s lives these days, but not for the footballers of Tottenham Hotspur.
After Darren Bent went mental on his Twitter account last summer, by virtually telling Daniel Levy in no uncertain terms that he wanted to join Sunderland rather than Hull or Stoke, the club reacted by banning [...]

Poll: Can Huddlestone Replace Beckham At The World Cup?

The injury to David Beckham has got the media speculating as to who might replace him in the England squad.
The suggested replacements have all been wide players. Adam Johnson of Manchester City has been mentioned, while Martin O’Neill has made a case for Aston Villa’s Stewart Downing and Ashley Young.
Yet this ignores the fact [...]

Redknapp looks for new spot-kick taker

Harry Redknapp is contemplating removing Jermain Defoe from penalty taking duties, after his failure from the spot against Leeds on Saturday.
This was Defoe’s second miss from 12 yards this season, after seeing his penalty saved at Everton in December as well.

HUDDLESTONE: I’m unsure of my future at Spurs

TOM Huddlestone goes into the last six games of the season uncertain of his long-term future at the Lane.

Spurs Frustrated at the Lane: Myhill’s Eye of the Tiger

Before the game I didn’t consider that Myhill would offer us too many problems; but he managed to single-handedly take a point back north for his club  after an amazing performance denied our players of a single goal. Simply put this will be seen as one of the shut outs of the season as chance [...]

Red letter day for stand-in skipper

A hard fought 1-1 draw it was at the Villa and I only went and called it, didn’t I? I didn’t envisage Michael Dawson, stand-in-skipper, grabbing a fine equaliser but my predicting skills are getting better and better – this coming from the man who thou…

England’s Tom Huddlestone

Apologies about the lack of posting recently. I’ve slipped into a euphoria-induced coma at the sight of Tom Huddlestone and Peter Crouch both coming on for England in Doha on Saturday. The prognosis? I’ll be okay in the long run but Jermaine Jenas defi…

Huddlestone expecting a battle at Portsmouth but reckons on a win

Tom Huddlestone admits it’s probably not the best time to face Portsmouth but feels confident on a win

Huddlestone, who has filled the void in central defence in Tottenham’s last couple of matches will be hoping to return to a more familiar midfield role against Portsmouth.

The Reebok hoodoo and the love of all things Croatian

There are some things that are constant in this world. There’s no science or logic to it, it’s just meant to be and there’s no point trying to avoid it. Whoever wins The X Factor will probably be a bit of a pretentious twat. The Murdoch family will con…

That’s why we’re (not) champions

So much for that then. The sizzling atmosphere generated by the White Hart Lane crowd worked in part for Jermain Defoe’s sensational opener but United’s multiple Premier League winning experience was simply too much of a barrier for us to break down. F…
