Great video about some true pioneers of the game. They had a truly awesome playing record. Of the 828 games they played they won 758, drew 46 and lost only 24. Unfortunately they were subject to some pretty awful discrimination by the footballing authorities despite in some cases drawing bigger crowds to their matches than their male counterparts. As well as the video above there’s some pretty amazing footage on the British Pathe site of the team playing an evening game under searchlights.
